I have been in the real estate business for 14 years and am the managing broker for EXIT Select Realty, Jackson, TN. I have been very active with my local association, Central West TN Association of REALTORS, as well as the state association, TN Association of REALTORS. I have served and continue to serve on various committees as well as have served on the local board of directors for 10 years, including serving as local association President for 3 years. I served as the state Division Vice President for West TN in 2006-2007 and served as the Division Vice President for West TN for the International Counsel for TN Association of Realtors.  I served as the President for the Tennessee Real Estate Education Foundation in 2011.   In July, 2011 I was appointed by Governor Bill Haslam to serve as one of nine TN Real Estate Commissioners for a five year term.  I have been chosen by my peers as Realtor of the Year and am also a lifetime member of the multi-million dollar club. I have obtained several designations during my time as a REALTOR including Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), and e-PRO and am also a Certified Real Estate Coach. I have been in real estate for about 5 years. Before that I worked with my husband in our small construction company building custom and spec homes, remodeling and repairs. I have a lot of experience to share about the condition of a home, repairs it might need and quality of construction. I've worked on the job site, helped with the layout of the floor plan and picking materials. For the past 3 years I have worked with companies doing Broker Price Opinions and have gained a lot of knowledge of how to give a good estimate on market prices and the length of time it might take to sell a property.

I am a native of Hardeman County where I grew up in the timber business.  My father started "riding the carriage and turning logs" for his father when he was about 14 years old.  From the time I can remember as a child, we would ride on Saturday or Sunday afternoons with him to meet people to look at a track of timber or for him to pick a site to set the sawmill.  Sometimes I wondered if we were lost and would ever make it back home, he always knew where he was going and we always made it back home. (Sometimes after feeling like you had been all around the world and back!!)   Between my Dad and my husband, I have been all over West Tennessee and parts of Mississippi.  I am familiar with all areas of Hardeman County such as Bolivar, Hornsby, Middleton, Whiteville, and Toone. I also work in Jackson, Madison County and Gibson County.
